Tell Us a Little About Yourself?
I spent the first eighteen years of my life on a farm and in small towns, where I learned the value of hard work and simplicity. After school, my curiosity about the world led me to Stellenbosch, where I studied for two years with dreams of becoming a chef. That journey soon took me to London, where I worked while travelling across much of Europe. When I returned to South Africa, I discovered a new passion: South African diamonds and the luxury industry. Since then, I’ve never looked back. My career has taken me to some of the most luxurious destinations in the world—and there’s still so much more to explore.

Why handmade?
Handmade sunglasses offer superior quality, comfort, and craftsmanship. Because they’re made by skilled artisans rather than mass-produced, every pair receives individual attention—resulting in better durability, more precise construction, and a unique, one-of-a-kind finish. Materials are often higher-grade, frames fit more comfortably, and the designs tend to be more refined. Handmade production also supports ethical practices, smaller makers, and sustainable techniques. In short, you get sunglasses that look better, last longer, and feel more personal.
